Nicole Riner is an active performer, clinician, and teacher. She has performed with various chamber ensembles and orchestras in the United States and Europe and has presented masterclasses at universities and conservatories throughout North America. Nicole has performed at National Flute Association Conventions and given the world premieres of new works by composers Beth Custer, Richard Faith, Anne Guzzo, and Randall Shinn.
Nicole currently serves on the music faculty of University of Wyoming, where she is guest artist faculty in flute. Prior appointments include the nationally recognized Interlochen Arts Camp, University of Northern Colorado, and Indiana University-Purdue University. Her pedagogical writings have been published in Colorado Flutist, International Tuba-Euphonium Association Journal, and Flute Talk, and she is the founder of The Pedagogy Project, a website for flutists and music teachers. Nicole received the Doctor of Music in flute performance and literature from Indiana University. Her first CD, Eastern Gems, is available from Centaur Records.
